The lighting of the Beacon at the Ynysybwl Cenotaph

On 8 May 2025, we mark the historic 80th anniversary of VE Day with the people and families of our community, coming together to unite and celebrate 80 years of peace since the end of World War II in Europe, that so many paid the ultimate sacrifice to achieve.
A portion of traditional Fish and Chips, and a hot beverage will be provided at 9:00pm for those in attendance, on a first come first served basis.
The Community Council have approved a grant of £200 to support this event.
