Basic Remuneration
Although Community Councillors are unpaid, they are entitled to a basic payment of £150 annually, which may be liable to tax.
This payment is intended to cover expenses associated with serving on the council, such as telephone bills, broadband, and stationery.
Councillors may choose not to receive this payment.
